Woodland Cottage
sleeps 8 | dogs welcome
Living Room
Unspoilt and secluded views over the garden and the sea beyond. This room also features a modern wood-burning stove, a quirky coffee table made out of driftwood, and a large canvas canvas painting of the the Needles, painted by Natasha.
Dining Room
Two large sliding doors open out to the woodlands and garden. The dining room table is hand built with recycled timbers, the dresser a very old French farmhouse unit, painted with chalk paints.
Downstairs single/twin room
Single or twin room (please ask if you want twin beds) in a downstairs room away from the other three bedrooms. The perfect place to put the noisy ones or somebody who has difficulty with stairs. There's also a desk with a large Apple iMac that guests can use.
Downstairs shower room
The third shower room in the cottage is close to both the front door and the downstairs single/twin room, a perfect place to shower off the kids after a day at the beach or a muddy adventure in the woodlands.
Kitchen
Brand new hand-built kitchen, with large windows overlooking the woodlands, with a new stainless steel 'American-style' side-by-side fridge/freezer with drinks dispenser and ice machine. The kitchen also features a microwave, an integrated dishwasher and a washing machine
Family bathroom
A modern and quirky 'aqua blue' designer cabinet and wc cabinet. A lovely curved 'eco' bath/shower combination with built in shower controls
Master Bedroom
Walk straight out of the king-size bed onto a huge cedar-decked balcony overlooking the sea and the woodlands. The master bedroom also has a fabulous en-suite wet-room with large walk-in shower, a designer basin and mirror with integrated lights.
Second Double Bedroom
A characterful and spacious bedroom overlooking the sea, with lovely warm original Victorian floorboards underfoot, and some unusual white chalk painted upcycled bedroom furniture. The king size bed has a comfortable pocket-sprung mattress.
Twin Bedroom
Next to the two double bedrooms upstairs is the twin bedroom, suitable for kids and adults alike (they are full-sized beds). The beds are again, brand new and have very high quality pocket sprung mattesses. The twin bedroom overlooks the woodlands at the rear.
Outside
The best feature of this cottage is the huge private woodlands and garden. There's outside seating and tables in multiple places, each one best placed to catch the sunshine for either breakfast, lunchtime, or the sunset barbeque. There's plenty to entertain the kids too in this fully enclosed space. And for the observant, the gardens attract plenty of wildlife, including the famous and notoriously shy Isle of Wight red squirrel.
