Places to shop on the Isle of Wight
The Isle of Wight has a strong food culture based on its natural advantages - a mild climate, fertile soils, and fresh seafood - and in recent years it has transformed from a traditional seaside destination into one of Britain's most distinctive regional food destinations.
This transformation has been driven by the success of local producers, which in turn was followed by high-profile chefs relocating to the island to create 'farm-to-table' experiences based on this local produce.
Of course we have supermarkets too on the island. And on-line food deliveries. But we hope that some of the suggestions here inspire you to spend a little of your precious time with us looking beyond frozen foods in aisle 9.
